The Hague’s dining scene has been elevated with the Indian Curry Club, a refined and authentic North Indian restaurant that promises a feast for both the senses and the soul. Situated in Segbroek in The Hague, this restaurant merges tradition with sophistication, offering a dining experience that is as flavorful as it is elegant.

The moment you step inside, you’re greeted by a beautifully designed interior. Deep, rich tones of emerald green and brown, velvet-clad chairs, and intricate Indian artwork create a space that is simultaneously luxurious and warm. With the candle like light, it is making this the perfect setting for both romantic dinners and celebratory gatherings.

The menu offers a rich array of vegetarian and vegan options, each dish prepared with care and authenticity. The meal begins with pani poori, a street food classic reinvented with finesse. Crisp, hollow puris are filled with spiced potatoes and served with a tangy tamarind and mint water. The explosion of flavors and textures in every bite is a delight.

Next comes the tandoori mushroom tikka, a dish that truly shines. The mushrooms are marinated in a flavorful yogurt and spice mix, then roasted in the tandoor until charred and smoky. It’s an outstanding vegetarian alternative to the traditional meat-based tikka, with a perfect balance of heat and earthiness.

For the main course, the dal tadka is a revelation. The creamy, slow-cooked lentils are tempered with cumin, garlic, and chili, resulting in a dish that is both comforting and flavorful. Paired with fragrant garlic naan, it’s a combination that is hard to beat.

The garlic naan was the star of the show. The Indian Curry Club makes it fresh with their own tandoor oven!

The vegetarian biryani is another star dish—long-grain basmati rice cooked with aromatic spices, vegetables, and herbs, served with cooling raita to balance the spices.

The kofta curry has melt-in-your-mouth vegetable dumplings are served in a rich, creamy sauce that’s spiced perfectly.

The makhmali, another standout, is an indulgent dish with soft paneer cubes cooked in a buttery, silky gravy that is delicate yet full of flavor.

For dessert, the mango kulfi does not disappoint and was another star of the show. Homemade rich and creamy with the tropical sweetness of mango, it’s a perfect ending to a well-balanced meal.

The service at the Indian Curry Club is exceptional. Staff and Chefs are attentive and knowledgeable, making you feel welcome and ensuring that every detail is taken care of. They provide insightful recommendations, accommodating both dietary preferences and spice levels with ease.

In a city as diverse as The Hague, the Indian Curry Club stands out with its commitment to authenticity, quality, and style. Whether you’re vegan, vegetarian, or simply a lover of Indian cuisine, this restaurant is a must-visit.
